Teahouse is also praised for its appetizers, including the Spicy Chicken Wings that pack just the right amount of heat, Cream Cheese Wontons that balance crispy with creamy, and Pan-Fried Pot Stickers (No 19 煎鍋贴), which offer a satisfyingly crisp exterior with juicy fillings inside. The dim sum, though more limited compared to larger urban spots, is carefully prepared, featuring highlights like Shrimp Dumplings and Scallion Pancakes that make for a comforting start or side to your meal.
What truly sets Teahouse apart is the consistency and care behind every dish, as echoed by loyal customers like Laryn Milne Rojek, who cherishes returning here without any drop in quality after many years. Kevin Smith praises the swift service and high quality of the soup dumplings, while Vince F highlights the generous portions and bold flavors of the spicy Kung Pao chicken — a dish so satisfying it often leads to leftovers! I used to come here as a child with my family, usually when I go back to places years later the quality has slipped. Not here. We came in during the snow storm and got Sandy as our waitress. She was wonderful, the food was wonderful. We ordered way too much and will be back to do it again soon.
Way underrated, should be 4.5+/5. My wife and I tried 4 dishes/brought leftovers home. Service was very fast. Szechuan chicken was very good for Chinese food found in a suburb. All the food was very good. Soup dumplings were high quality.
For almost three decades (and counting), the Teahouse has been our family's favorite Chinese restaurant. Dine in or take out, it simply is superb. Nice people, great food... what more can you ask?
We got dim sum here, there weren’t as many options as some restaurants; however, they also had so many entree options and other Chinese food. They have a lunch buffet Monday-Friday. Dim sum took around 15 minutes to come out and each dish was like 5-7$. Shown below: Egg Tart, Sticky Rice, Shrimp Dumplings, Egg Rolls, Scallion Pancakes
This restaurant is a new fav. 4 years we have been searching for good wholesome Americanized Chinese food. The Kong Pow chicken was very spicy, large portion of tender chicken, I’m a good eater, this plate I had to take home about 1/4. My wife got the Sesame chicken (seen with my meal), she loved it as well. We also had fried egg rolls- excellent flavor. The Jasmine tea served in a tea pot was great! The restaurant is clean (window ceils, a/c vents, walls, lighting, booths and floor corners) I’m in hopes this detail it means the kitchen should be clean too. I appreciate this cleanness because it’s in (my opinion) consideration of my health. The waiter was friendly and professional. All staff greeted us as we entered and exited. Good food for a decent price. No surprise surcharges on the bill either. We’ll definitely will return and with friends!
